Word was received here recently by relatives that Newton Cunningham, Bloomington, Calif., husband of the former Lizzie Riley of this area, was killed in a car accident in California. Mrs. Cunningham, who was accompanying her husband, was injured and is in the hospital there. The Cunninghams were driving an electric car and were pulling out from a drive-in, when they were hit by another car. Funeral rites were held in California. Area relatives of Mrs. Cunningham are: a brother, David Riley, Covington Rt. 1; a niece, Mrs. Ruby Abernathy, Veedersburg Rt. 2; and nephews, Walter Hambright and Walter Riley of Perrysville.
